Our updated Privacy Policy is now live.
Hasbro respects the privacy of our customers, and we are committed to keeping the personal data we hold about you secure.
Our Pulse Privacy Policy describes how and why we use your personal data when you interact with the Hasbro Pulse website and app (the app is currently only available in the US). From time to time, we update our Privacy Policy to reflect changes in how we operate the Pulse services and to enhance the information we provide to you.
We have an updated version of our Privacy Policy, with changes to make it clearer and more comprehensive. The key changes we have made include:
- The Privacy Policy is now global, with local annexes. Previous versions of our Privacy Policy were location-specific: we have now issued one version of the Policy that applies globally, with location-specific annexes. This is to better enable us to provide consistent information globally.
As mentioned, you will see there are still specific sections of the Privacy Policy that apply only to users in particular locations, for instance, the EEA/UK Annex. This enables us to still reflect any differences for users in those locations, as well as to comply with local legal requirements across those locations.
- Making the Privacy Policy easier to navigate. The Privacy Policy now includes a linked 'table of contents' as well as more hyperlinks within the notice, so that it is easier for you to jump between sections across the document.
- Clearer and more detailed information on what data we process about you. We have defined and provided more detail on the types of personal data that we process about you, including where we collect it directly from you and where we generate it about your use of our services.
- More specific detail on how we use your data. For EEA/UK customers, we have provided more detailed information on the "lawful basis" we rely on to use your data for different purposes and what types of data are used for each purpose. We have made these changes so that you are better informed about what we do with your data when you interact with the Pulse products and services.
- More detail on data sharing. In particular, we have added more details on the specific types of service providers and partners we share personal data with and what types of personal data are shared with them.
- Additional detail on where personal data is processed: Whilst Hasbro, Inc. is headquartered in the US and we have always made it clear that we collect and transfer personal data on a global basis, we have added specific reference to processing of personal data in the United States. The information we provide to users in the EEA and UK about data transfer mechanisms is now located in the EEA/UK Annex.
